Blog Stage 7
Whether we legalize marijuana or not, many people in the world are still going to use it. Many people paint marijuana as the worst thing in America, but it is slowly taking over many states including Texas. Texas is about to get its first marijuana dispensary, which in my opinion is a huge step. It is clear that marijuana may sometimes have negative effects on people but so does tobacco and alcohol, but I don't see anyone talking about taking those things away from us. It has been years since marijuana has been legalized in Colorado and according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the state saw a decrease of 2.5 percent in the crime rate. Homicides also dropped more than 50 percent along with many other things such as burglaries, automobile break-ins, and sexual assaults. The only problem with legalizing marijuana in Colorado is the increase in arrests for public display and public consumption of marijuana, which technically they aren't harming anyone. Although the Compassionate Use Act was signed by Greg Abbott, there are many limitations which makes it very hard for people to even use marijuana for medical purposes. The prescription dosage only allows a low THC level, which is only 0.5 percent. Marijuana isn't just used for people to get high when one feels like it, it is also used for many people that are in severe pain and seizures. People must stop generalizing marijuana and realize that it can also help people who are in need to get out of severe pain.

I agree. Marijuana is widely used, especially in adolescents and young adults. In the US, there are about 20 million users, about 7.5% of people aged 12 or older. According to a Gallup poll, 64% of Americans support legalizing marijuana for recreational use. Marijuana is a mind-altering drug, which is why its medical use is somewhat controversial. Although marijuana can help relieve some symptoms of certain medical conditions, its use is indeed illegal on a federal level because the FDA still has concerns about potential risks versus benefits. Some states have passed laws to allow the use of marijuana for medical conditions, and some are also making the move to decriminalize marijuana use by adults.
Legislatures in several states recently passed legalization measures, and they are debating the regulations that would have to be set in motion with the legalized sale and use of marijuana. Massachusetts lawmakers were weighing bills earlier this year that would lower the amount residents can legally possess and place restrictions on stores.
Aside from the visibly decreasing crime rate, states where the use of marijuana is legal also observe lower unemployment rate. In the states where it has been legalized, the new industry is contributing to the various states' economies. According to Marijuana Business Daily, the number of jobs created by cannabis-related companies ranges between 100,000 and 150,000. New Frontier Data estimated employment within the industry may reach 300,000 by 2020. In all likelihood, the share will only continue to grow within the upcoming years.
I agree. Marijuana is very common in the united states. In the United States, there are 20 million users across the country it used in the united states for medical use and it use mind altering. There are some cons that people do and abuse it but I agree because there are so many people that use it for whats it meant for and it helps millions get there the day and it also helps with people stress. Some states have passed laws to allow the use of marijuana for medical conditions. It has also help some farmers and business across the country helping the maker it. More then half the country has voted to support legalizing marijuana for recreational use.
No matter if some one searches for his vital thing, therefore he/she desires to be available that in detail, therefore that thing is maintained over here.
